Kimberly Medina, 49, pursued a traditional college education after graduating from high school back in the ‘90’s, but her plans changed when she became a mother at 18. She continued to take courses while raising her three children to be an example of the importance of education. When her daughter Chelsea challenged her to earn her master’s degree alongside her, Kim was eager to finish what she had first started two decades ago. Kim earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management, while Chelsea earned an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources.
