Lyle Clason ’22

September 7, 2023

Lyle Clason, 33, is a deaf college graduate whose family has strong military ties. As the only deaf individual in his family, Lyle is not able to pursue the same career opportunities as his loved ones. To continue his family’s legacy and military service in his own way, Lyle enrolled online with SNHU to pursue his BA in History, with a military concentration. Lyle shared that the accessible format made his path to a degree smooth, as he did not have to rely on an interpreter. With his degree now in hand, he aspires to work at a military museum and hopes to make those experiences more accessible to individuals with disabilities.
