Rafael Matias, 39, worked on his game art and development program while serving active duty in the U.S. Army. After graduating, Rafael joined the Alaska National Guard, where he works full time as a logistics officer. An SNHU alumnus, Rafael is also an adjunct faculty member, teaching graphic design. As a veteran, professor, first-generation graduate, and father of seven, Rafael believes in the importance of positive influence, and helping others achieve their goals. Since starting on his path, he has inspired his students, other soldiers, and members of his family to continue pursuing their education.
